The book is based on research preceding an exhibition of the same name and materials gathered in the process. It surveys the processes and changes in 1980s Estonian design, focusing on the youngest generation of designers. Design is explored through its various manifestations, from environmental and urban design, graphic design, product (such as furniture) design, and interior design. The book includes articles and photo essays by Jüri Kermik, Iris Helkama (Finland), Karolina Jakaite (Lithuania), Kai Lobjakas, Triin Ojari, Silver Vahtre and Mari Kaljuste.
